GSE’s Pathway Programs offer engineering students the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real projects through Co-Op and Internship experiences. Whether participating in the longer-term Co-Op or the summer Internship, students gain hands-on technical exposure, build professional skills, work with industry tools and standards, and receive mentorship that prepares them for future full-time roles at GSE.

General Job Description

Students will contribute to active engineering projects within GSE’s core divisions (Systems & Simulations, Programs & Performance, and Design & Analysis).

Typical responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting design engineering tasks
  • Assisting with simulation modeling and performance analysis
  • 2D/3D drawings and database creation/update
  • Conducting data validation and regulatory research
  • Preparing reports, technical documentation, and calculations under supervision

Compensation

  • All co-op and internship positions are paid
  • Pay range: $25–$35 per hour, depending on discipline, experience, and academic level
  • Part-time academic-year internships are paid at the same hourly rate as full-time summer internships.
  • Pay is reviewed periodically to remain competitive with peer institutions and employers
